Applications for UCEED 2024 (Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design) recently transitioned from regular fee to late fee window.

UCEED is essential for admission into the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programs at premier institutes like IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIITDM Jabalpur, and various other government and private universities. Organized annually by IIT Bombay, UCEED stands as a gateway to elite design education.

Registration deadline

The regular application phase for UCEED 2024 ended on 13th November. However, prospective students still have an opportunity to apply during the late registration period, ending on 20th November 2023.

Note on Exam date clash: Applicants should note the overlap UCEED and LSAT-India (20 & 21 Jan 2024) exam dates.

Academic eligibility: Eligibility for UCEED 2024 extends to students who have completed (in 2023) or are appearing for their Class XII (or equivalent) exams in 2024. This includes candidates from Science, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities streams. However, students who first appeared in these exams in 2022 or earlier are not eligible.

Stream-specific eligibility
i) Candidates from the Science Stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Maths as subjects are eligible to apply to all the five participating institutes.
ii) Candidates from any other stream (Science without Maths or Physics or Chemistry, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible to apply to only IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Hyderabad.
iii) For admission to BDes at IIITDM Jabalpur, only students with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology at 10+2 can apply. Students from Arts or Humanities at 10+2 are not eligible to apply for BDes admissions at IIITDM Jabalpur.
iv) Candidates from the Science Stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects are eligible to apply to IIT Guwahati. Candidates from any other stream (Science without Mathematics or Physics or Chemistry, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are NOT eligible to apply to IIT Guwahati.
